About Musician Ryan Sam

As Musician, I have an extensive experience playing piano, guitar, vocal and bass since the age of eight.

I have toured around the world as Professional Musician in Europe and Brazil with various bands as a Singer. I also perform actively today, but mostly as a Singer & Pianist in New York and Denmark.


The piano and vocals is my main concept as Musician while the guitar and bass is done mostly today in the Studio.

Professional Musician

Performing with Live Music for many years has been my first priority, where I have always sung. First with guitar in bands and later as lead singer without an instrument.

Only much later did I start performing with song and piano / keyboard.

In the last 20 years, my live performance has been drawn more and more into the background.

Today, it is not so important for me to perform, as I deal with other musical areas that I also find exciting, such as teaching and studio production.

My other areas of work as a Musician:

Besides the already mentioned ... Then it also happens that I sing in different bands, such as ON and OFF.

It could, for example, be in own trio for a special event or as a guest singer in other people's bands, as well as in Big Bands.

Extremely rarely will you be able to experience me as a DJ late at night in the aftermath of a wedding.

As Music Teacher

As Teacher I have taught and coached students since my years at the Royal Danish Music Conservatory over the last 30 years and with even really good results, which have ended with i.a. several actors, DJ's and other musicians in bands.

In My Music Lessons

I only teach the musical things and directions that I myself am passionate about. It assures me that I can work in my Music Lessons with great enthusiasm and willingness without getting tired of it.

In my Lessons

It happens that a student starts with a specific instrument and ends up with something else in music.
Example:
I had a child as student who went to piano lessons but who was very little interested in playing the piano.

For the sake of motivation and interest, I recorded a song with her voice in my studio and subsequently started teaching her singing instead.
Now she has become a successful opera singer.

Mix Lessons

It came to form the basis of my mix lessons, which create other opportunities to be able to draw on my resources that go beyond what I can and what I deliver here on the website.

Studio Production

I have over 30 years of experience in recording mixing and mastering, engineering and production. It starts in Copenhagen Denmark where my First single 'Come on and Dance' get alive and later in my studio i BRAZIL with the album 'All I'm asking'.

I work with all Aspects of music in my private studio

I write lyrics, compose, play and sing everything from the classical to jazz / blues / soul to rock and pop melodies. And use my Studio for Music Recording of own and others' music as well as for my students.
The studio is also used for small advertising spots and other sound imposition.
The studio is also used for commercials, jingles and more.

My Service

The most important thing for me is to get my students off to a good start in the best possible way. Even if it costs me extra unpaid work.
This is strongly rooted in one's own experiences through 80s music life.

My Story

Back then, nothing was free and there was great reluctance to share knowledge and experience unless one had money and could pay for it. I experienced this as a major obstacle to reaching the goal.

As much and as cheaply as possible

Therefore, I place emphasis on making my teaching and my other services as cheap as possible, while communicating and sharing all my knowledge and experience that I have gained over the years as a Musician.

The daily work as a professional

Otherwise, the daily work consists of warm-up exercises, a repertoire of 100 songs to be maintained and new initiatives to be learned and practiced.
In addition, Planning, preparation, student education, fitness and running training for endurance and lung capacity.

Professional Musician as a business

Being a professional musician is driven by the interest in music, but is most likely not a regular 8:00-16:00 job where there is room for quite a lot other than music.

The advantage of this, however, is that you decide for yourself what to do and when you want to do it.

Private Musician

I was born in Denmark in the 60's and is out of a musical family. I am married and have a daughter and a son.

I came to the United States New York in 2001 to teach at a music school 8 hours a day and have been stuck ever since. After a year and many gigs as Musician in my spare time, I again chose to have my own company to better manage my time.

My Hobbies

Besides my famile and music,
Programming in HTML, Css, JavaScript for Webdesign and C++ Programming , I find these Programming language very exciting and interesting.

I had a Goal

Music has as far back as I can remember always had my interest where I have gone purposefully to become a professional musician.
First with private teachers in guitar and piano lessons and later at the conservatory.

A Dream as Rock-star

I started as a Lead singer / El guitarist in various rock / pop bands and where we participated in a sea of amateur competitions and less paid concerts.

We did not get rich from that and had to start educating ourselves instead.
My choice fell on the Danish conservatory

Career as Solo artist

After the conservatory in Denmark, my solo career began to take shape with singing and piano nand I moved to Brazil.

Fixed income

Despite students and singers in bands as Musician, it was as a solo artist (pianist & singer) that I experienced financial stability in being employed for longer periods at a time (3 - 6 months)

It has made me today stick to the lifestyle and the directions I have had the most success with.
